Autumn term

What we are going to learn about.

As it’s the beginning of a new school year, we thought we would get to know each other by investigating our similarities and differences by comparing hair and eye colour, height and the size of our hands and feet. We will also explore the things we like and don’t like too.

In our topic this term, we will be learning about ‘Seasons and Celebrations’ – Rituals, Music and Dance.  

Music in the first half term will be delivered by a music specialist from More Music, in the second half term we will be listening to Autumn songs and experiencing music by Einojuhani Rautavaara.  In geography we are going to learn about ‘Dia de los Muertos’ (Day of the dead) a Mexican celebration.

The focus of our art this term is the artist Emma Lambert, we are going to create our own artwork in her style. In DT we will be making Diva lamps and in science we will be learning about the seasons.
